    John Wiseman Estate
    On September 15, 1844, Joseph Drouillard, Clerk of Court for Common Pleas, recorded the estate of John Wiseman. John McDaniel, Benjamin McDaniel, and Charles Neal were the appraisers. Henry Neal was the justice of the peace who drafted the writ. Friend McDaniel was the administrator.

    A will filed with the court, shows that from the estate of John Wiseman, his minor children were to receive the following; four spinning wheels, one loom and apparatus, one family Bible, Buck's dictionary, Clark's theology, one large hymn book, one black face cow, twelve sheep, six chairs, six knives and forks, six plates, and six teacups and saucers, one sugar dish, one milk pot, one teapot, six spoons, one bed, bed stead and bedding and one table.

    The children were John, Matilda and Anna Magdaline.

    A History of Lawrence County.
    Deeds - The first deed recorded in Lawrence County, was for a tract of 24 acres of land, consideration $300. It is deeded by John Neal and Katherine Neal of Centerville township, Lawrence county, to Isaac Russell. It is witnessed by Joel Bowen, J.P. The deed bears the date of March 21, 1817.
