- Louis was found listed in the 1900 Lawrence County Census, Perry Township page 136-136B (Sheridan). He is listed as being 21 years old.
Louis Brubaker is listed on David Todd Brubaker's death certificate as at that point in time living in North Kenora Ohio.
Louis received a letter from lawyers CORN & JENKINS of Ironton, Ohio as they had settled out the records and sent him a sum of $3455.81. They charged him $100.00 for their services. At the time he received the letter, May 7, 1928, he was still living in South Point, Ohio. Some where in Louis's life he joined his brother William in Washington. Where he spent several years there.
SPECIAL MEMORIES OF Mrs. Ennis Austin -- Lower Sheridan -- She remembers when she was quite young, Louis gave her a dime, at that point i time they had a Cresci store in the area. With that dime she purchased a RED BARRETT. She remembers feeling as if she had a pot of gold.
SPECIAL MEMORIES OF Leroy Brubaker (being rather young) at the time he remembers, as well as Pauline (being a teenager) remembers that Uncle Louis lived with the family. She remembers it being Louis because she was getting ready to graduate from High School and he gave her a wonderful gift for graduation, A BEAUTIFUL HOPE CHEST.
Louis is laid to rest in Hazelwood Cemetery Grinnell, Iowa with his brother William.
Per the National Funeral Register Page 15 Louis died at the age of 62 years. 4 months 14 days. Single, his occupation is listed as a Farmer. His last known living address is 412 West Street Grinnell, Iowa.
