    Notes:

Ironton Register Oct. 12, 1893 - Miss Cora Wakefield died last Friday at her home in Proctorville. She was a daughter of the late Benj. Wakefield, one of the pioneer citizens of this county. For several years she has been a successful teacher of this county. She was an intelligent young lady, whom the community highly esteemed. She was bright, genial and had a graceful way of doing everything. Her death is received by all who knew her, and especially by the teachers of the county, among whom she was most kindly known, with profound grief. She had been spending the summer at Chicago, and had returned but a few days, when she was seized by typhoid fever and hastened to her grave.
